Description

A creamy and zesty Taco Hummus that combines the smoothness of hummus with the bold flavors of tacos, perfect for dipping.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can chickpeas (drained and rinsed)
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup pico de gallo
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine the drained chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, lime juice, ground cumin, garlic powder, and a good pinch of salt in a high-powered blender or food processor.
  2. Pulse until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.
  3. Fold in the pico de gallo using a spatula.
  4. Transfer the hummus into a serving bowl, garnish with fresh cilantro, and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Serve with tortilla chips, veggies, or pita bread.

Notes

Can be made a day in advance for better flavor melding. Pair with tortilla chips, fresh veggies, or use it in tacos.
