- 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil and cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Heat the Skillet: Drizzle olive oil in a spacious skillet and heat over medium heat.
- Sauté Aromatics: Add chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent, about 2-3 minutes.
- Brown the Sausage: Remove casing from sausage and add to the skillet, breaking it apart. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the Tomato Sauce: Pour in the tomato sauce and let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Season: Adjust flavor with salt and pepper to taste.
- Combine with Pasta: Toss cooked pasta into the skillet until coated with the sauce mixture.
- Serve and Garnish: Plate the pasta, sprinkling with freshly grated parmesan and basil.
