Description

Light, fluffy, and buttery rolls that are a perfect addition to any meal, made simply with no kneading required.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) instant yeast
  • 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast in a large bowl.
  2. Pour in the buttermilk and melted butter, mixing gently with a rubber spatula until a sticky dough forms.
  3. Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap and let it rise at room temperature for 12-18 hours until doubled in size.
  4. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease your baking dish.
  5. Turn out the dough on a floured surface and shape it into roughly 12 rolls.
  6. Place shaped rolls in the greased dish, cover with a towel, and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven, cool slightly, and enjoy warm.

Notes

For best results, let your ingredients come to room temperature before starting. You can substitute buttermilk with regular milk mixed with a splash of vinegar.
