Description

A delightful grilled shrimp dish with a sweet honey marinade, perfect for summer barbecues and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish
  • Lime wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Whisk the marinade: In a mixing bowl, combine honey, lemon juice, minced garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper. Whisk until the mixture is smooth and well blended.
  2. Marinate the shrimp: Add the shrimp into the marinade, tossing gently to ensure every piece is coated. Let it sit for at least 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  3. Prepare the grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Skewer the shrimp: Thread the marinated shrimp onto skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
  5. Grill the shrimp: Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 2–3 minutes on each side or until the shrimp are opaque and have nice char marks.
  6. Garnish and serve: Once grilled, remove from the grill, garnish with fresh cilantro, and serve alongside lime wedges.

Notes

Make-ahead tip: You can prepare the marinade a day in advance.
