Description

A refreshing sorbet made with blood orange juice and champagne, perfect for summer gatherings.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh blood orange juice
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup champagne or sparkling wine
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Combine the fresh blood orange juice and sugar in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir gently until the sugar dissolves completely.
  2. Remove the saucepan from the heat and allow it to cool to room temperature.
  3. Stir in the champagne and lemon juice until well blended.
  4. Pour the mixture into a shallow container and freeze for about 2 hours, stirring with a fork every 30 minutes.
  5. Let the sorbet freeze until firm for an additional 4 to 6 hours.
  6. Serve by scooping the sorbet into chilled bowls or glasses and garnish with a mint sprig.

Notes
