Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked rice (day-old preferred)
  • 1 lb beef (cubed or sliced)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, bell peppers)
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat the sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until fragrant.
  2. Sauté the chopped onion until soft and translucent.
  3. Add the minced garlic and beef, cooking until the beef is browned.
  4. Scramble the eggs in the cleared area of the skillet until just set.
  5. Combine the cold, cooked rice and mixed vegetables, mixing gently.
  6. Season with soy sauce, adding salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Allow the mixture to simmer a few minutes for flavors to meld.
  8. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve warm.

Notes

For best results, use cold, day-old rice and avoid overcrowding the pan.
