Description

A classic sugar cream pie with a smooth and creamy filling, enveloped in a flaky crust and topped with a hint of cinnamon.


Ingredients

  • 4 large egg yolks

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Set it to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Whisk together the filling: In a medium saucepan, combine heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, egg yolks, cornstarch, vanilla extract, and salt over medium heat. Stir continuously.
  3. Cook until thickened: Stir until the mixture thickens and bubbles, about 5-10 minutes.
  4. Fill the pie crust: Pour the filling into the pre-baked pie crust, spreading it evenly.
  5. Bake the pie: Place it in the oven for 25-30 minutes until edges are firm and center remains creamy.
  6. Cool completely: Allow the pie to cool on a wire rack to room temperature.
