Description

A delightful blend of fluffy focaccia and sweet cinnamon rolls, topped with a creamy glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) instant yeast
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Mix the dry ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt until well incorporated.
  2. Combine the wet ingredients: Pour in the warm water and olive oil, gently stirring until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough: Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes.
  4. Let it rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm location for about 1 hour.
  5. Preheat your oven: As the dough rises, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Roll it out: On a floured surface, roll out the dough into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick.
  7. Add the flavors: Sprinkle an even layer of cinnamon and brown sugar over the dough, then roll it into a log.
  8. Prepare for the second rise: Place the log in a greased baking dish, cover it, and let it puff up for another 30 minutes.
  9. Bake to perfection: Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  10. Make the glaze: Whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until silky and drizzle it over the warm focaccia.

Notes

For a dairy-free option, use almond or coconut milk in the glaze and substitute olive oil for butter in the dough. Customize with nuts or chocolate chips for added flavor.
