Description

Indulge in freshly baked chocolate chip cookies with a creamy twist of cream cheese for a soft and chewy delight.


Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips and/or M&Ms
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt until well mixed, then set aside.
  3. Cream together the softened butter, cream cheese, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and gently stir until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and/or M&Ms using a rubber spatula.
  7. Drop tablespoons of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spaced about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden and centers are soft and puffy.
  9. Allow cooling on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Refrigerate the dough for enhanced flavor. Great for customizing with different mix-ins like nuts or dried fruits.
