Description

Delightful Chicken Wonton Tacos featuring crispy shells and a savory chicken filling paired with crunchy slaw.

Ingredients

  • Wonton wrappers
  • Ground chicken
  • Soy sauce
  • Garlic, minced
  • Ginger, minced
  • Slaw mix (cabbage and carrots)
  • Green onions, sliced
  • Oil for frying
  • Hoisin sauce or sriracha

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oil in a heavy-bottomed frying pan, about 1 inch deep over medium-high heat.
  2. Cook the ground chicken, breaking it up with a spatula, for about 5-7 minutes after adding garlic, ginger, and soy sauce.
  3. Prepare the slaw by combining the slaw mix, chopped green onions, and a splash of hoisin sauce or sriracha in a bowl.
  4. Shape the wonton wrappers into taco shapes and fry them in the preheated oil until golden brown, about 2 minutes per side.
  5. Assemble each taco with the seasoned chicken and slaw mixture.
  6. Drizzle additional hoisin sauce or sriracha over before serving. Enjoy warm!

Notes

Make the filling or slaw ahead of time for easier assembly. Store any leftovers in an airtight container.
