Description

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt until combined. Set it aside.
  2. Cream the Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar with an electric mixer until light and fluffy, about 3–4 minutes.
  3. Add Egg and Vanilla: Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well incorporated.
  4. Incorporate the Dry Ingredients: Gradually stir in the flour mixture until smooth.
  5. Divide the Dough: Divide the dough in half. Fold in cocoa powder into one half.
  6. Shape and Chill the Dough: Roll each half into logs, wrap tightly with plastic wrap, and chill for at least 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  8. Slice and Arrange: Slice the chilled logs into 1/4-inch rounds and arrange on a lined baking sheet.
  9. Bake: Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until cookies are just set.
  10. Cool and Enjoy: Allow to cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
