Description

Indulge in a warm and comforting bowl of Bolognese gnocchi that combines tender potato dumplings with a rich, savory sauce, perfect for chilly evenings.


Ingredients

  • 1 package Gnocchi (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 lb Lean ground beef
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 Carrot, diced
  • 1 Celery, diced
  • 28 oz Canned tomatoes (crushed or diced)
  • 1/2 cup Red wine
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Parmesan cheese, for serving
  • Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion, garlic, carrot, and celery; sauté until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add the ground beef, breaking it apart and browning for 7-10 minutes.
  3. Pour in the red wine and simmer for a few minutes until the alcohol evaporates.
  4. Stir in canned tomatoes and Italian seasoning; season with salt and pepper. Cover and let simmer for 20-30 minutes.
  5. Bring a large pot of salted water to boil; cook gnocchi according to package instructions until they rise to the surface.
  6. Drain the gnocchi and gently fold them into the skillet with the sauce.
  7. Serve topped with freshly grated Parmesan and herbs. Enjoy!
