Description

A delightful blueberry pie with a buttery, flaky crust and a sweet, juicy filling that’s perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 premade pie crust
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Combine the blueberries, sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and cinnamon in a large bowl.
  3. Prepare the pie crust in the dish and pour the blueberry mixture into it.
  4. Create a lattice top by rolling out a second pie crust and cutting it into strips.
  5. Trim any excess dough and brush the lattice with the egg wash.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the crust is golden and the filling is bubbly.
  7. Cool the pie for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for a delightful treat. To avoid a soggy bottom, consider blind baking the crust briefly before adding the filling.
