Description

Delicious Blackened Fish Tacos featuring juicy fish fillets with a hint of heat and smokiness, served in warm corn tortillas with refreshing slaw and creamy avocado.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 fish fillets (tilapia, cod, or any white fish)
  • 2 tablespoons blackening seasoning
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 2 cups cabbage, shredded
  • 1 cup pico de gallo
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat for at least 5 minutes to achieve the ideal sear.
  2. Generously season the fish fillets with blackening seasoning, ensuring each piece is evenly coated for maximum flavor.
  3. Cook the fish for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the flesh flakes effortlessly with a fork.
  4. Prepare the slaw by combining shredded cabbage, lime juice, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Toss well.
  5. Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet over low heat until pliable.
  6. Assemble the tacos by placing fish on each tortilla, and topping with slaw, pico de gallo, avocado slices, and sour cream.
  7. Serve immediately with lime wedges on the side.

Notes

For a healthier option, consider air frying the fish fillets. Leftovers should be stored separately to maintain freshness.
