Description

A nostalgic, creamy dessert layered with ripe bananas and soft cookies, perfect for summer gatherings.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 45 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 package of soft cookies (like Nilla Wafers or graham crackers)
  • Chocolate syrup (for drizzling, optional)

Instructions

  1. Whip the cream in a large mixing bowl until soft peaks form.
  2. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, continuing to whip until stiff peaks form.
  3. Layer a single layer of cookies at the bottom of a 9×13 inch dish.
  4. Spread a layer of the whipped cream mixture over the cookies.
  5. Add the sliced bananas on top of the cream.
  6. Repeat layering cookies, whipped cream, and bananas until all ingredients are used.
  7. Chill covered with plastic wrap for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  8. Add chocolate syrup just before serving, if desired.

Notes

The cake improves with time, so prepare it a day in advance for the best flavor.
