Description

A delightful dessert that combines strawberry cake with creamy cream cheese and rich white chocolate, perfect for any celebration.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box (15.25 ounces) strawberry cake mix
  • 3 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese (softened to room temperature)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 ½ cups confectioners’ sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 cup diced strawberries (plus extra for garnish)
  • 2 cups white chocolate chips
  • Vanilla ice cream (optional for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Combine the cake mix: In a large mixing bowl, combine strawberry cake mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil. Mix until smooth—about 2 minutes.
  3. Pour and bake: Pour the batter into the prepared pan evenly. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Prepare the cream cheese layer: Beat together the softened cream cheese and melted butter until creamy. Add confectioners’ sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until blended.
  5. Add strawberries and white chocolate: Once the cake is done, sprinkle diced strawberries and white chocolate chips over the top.
  6. Spoon the cream cheese mixture: Gently spoon dollops of the cream cheese mixture over the cake.
  7. Return the cake to the oven for another 15 to 20 minutes, or until the cream cheese layer is set.
  8. Cool before serving: Allow the cake to cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Make-ahead tips: You can prepare the batter a day in advance. This cake can also be adapted for the air fryer.
