Description

Delicious air fryer egg rolls filled with cream cheese and cherry pie filling for a crunchy, creamy dessert experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup cherry pie filling
  • 10 pieces egg roll wrappers
  • Cooking spray or melted butter

Instructions

  1. Begin by softening the cream cheese either by leaving it at room temperature for about 30 minutes or gently microwaving it for 10-15 seconds at a time until just soft.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Beat until creamy and well blended.
  3. Take an egg roll wrapper and lay it on a clean surface in a diamond shape. Place a few tablespoons of the cream cheese mixture in the center, followed by a spoonful of cherry pie filling.
  4. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with a little bit of water to help seal them closed. Fold the bottom over the filling, tuck in the sides, and roll it up tightly, sealing the top point with another touch of water. Repeat until you’ve filled all the wrappers.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). While it heats, lightly spritz the egg rolls with cooking spray or brush with melted butter for an extra crispy finish.
  6. Place the egg rolls in the basket of your air fryer, ensuring they don’t touch or overcrowd. Cook for about 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, or until they turn golden brown and crispy.
  7. Serve these amazing bites warm. Dust with powdered sugar and serve with additional cherry pie filling or a scoop of whipped cream on the side for dipping.

Notes

Make-ahead tips: Prepare the filling a day ahead and keep it in the refrigerator. Assemble the egg rolls just before cooking for the freshest taste.
