Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line your muffin tin with liners.
- Mix together the dry ingredients: whole wheat flour, oats, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a large bowl.
- Whisk the wet ingredients: combine honey (or maple syrup), milk, applesauce, and eggs in another bowl.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture, mixing until just combined. Fold in the mix-ins.
- Fill each muffin cup about 2/3 full with batter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes. Test for doneness with a toothpick.
- Allow the muffins to cool on a wire rack for a few minutes before serving.
