Description

A simple yet exquisite dish featuring tender chicken breasts simmered in a creamy Marsala wine sauce with mushrooms and garlic.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup Marsala wine
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot.
  2. Mix the Marsala wine, heavy cream, sliced mushrooms, minced garlic, chopped onion, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl until evenly combined.
  3. Pour the mixture over the chicken in the crockpot.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is thoroughly cooked and tender.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with freshly chopped parsley.

Notes

For best results, allow the chicken to marinate in the sauce for a while before cooking.
