Description

Deviled Eggs with Paprika & Chives are a classic appetizer that combines creamy egg yolks with a hint of spice and freshness from chives, making them a delightful addition to any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives

Instructions

  1. Hard boil the eggs by placing them in a pot of cold water, bringing it to a boil, then covering and letting sit for 12 minutes.
  2. Remove the eggs from the pot and place them in an ice bath to cool.
  3. Once cooled, peel the eggs and slice them in half lengthwise.
  4. Remove the yolks and place them in a bowl, then mash them with mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, salt, pepper, and paprika until smooth.
  5. Fill the egg whites with the yolk mixture using a spoon or piping bag.
  6. Garnish with chopped chives and a sprinkle of paprika before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add a dash of hot sauce to the yolk mixture.
  • These can be made a few hours in advance; just cover and refrigerate until serving.
  • Experiment with different herbs for varied flavors.
