Description

A savory, aromatic delight that combines tender beef with roasted bell peppers and a rich, flavorful sauce, perfect for cozy family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs of beef sirloin, either in strips or sliced steak
  • 3 large bell peppers of varied colors, sliced thickly
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • ¾ cup of beef broth
  • 3 beef bouillon cubes, crushed
  • ¼ cup of soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 1 teaspoon of ground ginger
  • ½ teaspoon of black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • 2 tablespoons of cornstarch or flour

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sauce by whisking together beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, honey, ground ginger, black pepper, and salt in a mixing bowl. Gradually whisk in the cornstarch or flour until smooth, then crumble in the bouillon cubes and mix well.
  2. Layer the beef strips in the slow cooker, pouring the prepared sauce over the beef. Then, add the thick slices of bell peppers, onion, and minced garlic on top.
  3. Cook on LOW for 6 hours or HIGH for 3 hours, stirring gently midway through if possible.
  4. Serve by stirring the beef and vegetables to coat with sauce, then transfer to a serving dish. Pair with rice, noodles, or potatoes.
