- 2 lbs of beef sirloin, either in strips or sliced steak
- 3 large bell peppers of varied colors, sliced thickly
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- ¾ cup of beef broth
- 3 beef bouillon cubes, crushed
- ¼ cup of soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- 1 teaspoon of ground ginger
- ½ teaspoon of black pepper
- ½ teaspoon of salt
- 2 tablespoons of cornstarch or flour
Instructions
- Prepare the sauce by whisking together beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, honey, ground ginger, black pepper, and salt in a mixing bowl. Gradually whisk in the cornstarch or flour until smooth, then crumble in the bouillon cubes and mix well.
- Layer the beef strips in the slow cooker, pouring the prepared sauce over the beef. Then, add the thick slices of bell peppers, onion, and minced garlic on top.
- Cook on LOW for 6 hours or HIGH for 3 hours, stirring gently midway through if possible.
- Serve by stirring the beef and vegetables to coat with sauce, then transfer to a serving dish. Pair with rice, noodles, or potatoes.
