- 1 chicken breast
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon ranch dressing
- 1 large flour tortilla
- 1 slice cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/4 cup diced tomatoes
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Slice the chicken breast horizontally to create two thinner pieces.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season both sides of the chicken with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
- Cook the chicken in the skillet for 4-5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
- Remove the chicken and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing into strips.
- Dredge each chicken strip in flour, dip in beaten egg, and coat with panko breadcrumbs.
- Place the breaded chicken on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until crispy and golden.
- Spread ranch dressing on the tortilla and top with cheddar cheese.
- Arrange the crispy chicken strips over the cheese, then add lettuce and tomatoes.
- Wrap the tortilla tightly, enclosing the fillings.
- Serve immediately for best flavor.
Notes
For added spice, mix in cayenne pepper with the seasonings or add sriracha to the ranch dressing.
