Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the batter: Mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth, then stir in the melted butter until well combined.
- Mix the wet ingredients: Sprinkle in the baking soda and salt, followed by the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until you see no streaks.
- Incorporate the flour: Add the all-purpose flour gradually, folding in until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
- Combine cinnamon and sugar: Mix the cinnamon and brown sugar in a small bowl.
- Layer the batter in the loaf pan: Pour half of your banana bread batter into a greased loaf pan, sprinkle with half of your cinnamon mixture, and pour the remaining batter over this layer. Sprinkle with the rest of the cinnamon mixture.
- Swirl it: Using a knife, gently swirl the cinnamon mixture into the batter.
- Bake it: Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for 50-60 minutes.
- Cool down: Let the bread cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
