Description

A moist and flavorful banana bread with a delightful swirl of cinnamon and brown sugar, perfect for breakfast or a sweet snack.


Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the batter: Mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth, then stir in the melted butter until well combined.
  3. Mix the wet ingredients: Sprinkle in the baking soda and salt, followed by the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until you see no streaks.
  4. Incorporate the flour: Add the all-purpose flour gradually, folding in until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
  5. Combine cinnamon and sugar: Mix the cinnamon and brown sugar in a small bowl.
  6. Layer the batter in the loaf pan: Pour half of your banana bread batter into a greased loaf pan, sprinkle with half of your cinnamon mixture, and pour the remaining batter over this layer. Sprinkle with the rest of the cinnamon mixture.
  7. Swirl it: Using a knife, gently swirl the cinnamon mixture into the batter.
  8. Bake it: Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for 50-60 minutes.
  9. Cool down: Let the bread cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
