Description

Ingredients

  • 6 slices of bread (white or brioche)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons (25g) granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons (28g) unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine granulated sugar and ground cinnamon to create the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  2. In a shallow dish, whisk together eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Flatten each slice of bread using a rolling pin, then spread melted butter on one side and sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  4. Roll each slice tightly from one end to the other.
  5. Dip each roll-up into the egg mixture ensuring they are well-coated.
  6. Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the roll-ups seam-side down until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
  7. Serve hot, dusted with additional cinnamon sugar.

Notes

For added flavor, consider including cream cheese or Nutella inside the roll-ups. You can also use whole-grain bread for a nutritious twist.
