- 4 Medium Ripe Bananas
- 1 Cup Granulated Sugar
- 2 Cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 Large Egg
- 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1/2 Cup Butter
- 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
- 1/2 Cup Flour
- 1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1/4 Cup Butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the ripe bananas by mashing them until smooth.
- Mix the granulated sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, and egg with the mashed bananas.
- Combine the dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, and cinnamon) in a separate bowl.
- Blend the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Prepare the crumb topping by mixing brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon, then crumbling in the cold butter.
- Assemble the loaf by layering half of the banana mixture and then half of the crumb topping, followed by the remaining banana batter and crumb topping.
- Bake for 60–70 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Slice and serve the warm banana bread.
