Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped pistachios

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and generously grease a 9×13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat until browned and aromatic, then let it cool slightly.
  3. Combine brown sugar and honey in a mixing bowl, stirring until smooth. Add the brown butter and mix thoroughly.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  5. Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
  6. Add the dry mix to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chopped pistachios until evenly distributed.
  8. Spread the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  10. Cool completely in the pan before lifting out and cutting into bars.
