Description

Soft and fluffy banana donuts topped with a creamy cinnamon cream cheese frosting, perfect for breakfast or dessert.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a donut pan.
  2. Combine the mashed bananas, sugar, egg, milk, and vanilla extract in a large bowl.
  3. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in another bowl.
  4. Stir the dry ingredients into the banana mixture until just combined.
  5. Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 3/4 full.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool the donuts in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  8. Beat the cream cheese and butter until smooth, then add powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon for the frosting.
  9. Spread or pipe the frosting onto cooled donuts.
