Description

A delightful and healthy asparagus pasta recipe that combines fresh asparagus with pasta for a light and flavorful dish.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta of your choice
  • 1 lb fresh asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the asparagus pieces and cook for 3-4 minutes until tender but still crisp.
  5. Toss in the cooked pasta and mix well to combine.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. If desired, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and garnish with fresh basil before serving.
